Mike Mussina allowed a second inning home run to Brad Eldred but was otherwise solid. Jeff Kennard and Matt DeSalvo each allowed a run in their outing, while Kyle Farnsworth (1), Sean Henn (2) and Jose Veras (1) all worked scoreless outings. Jorge Posada hit a solo home run in the fourth inning and Ramiro Pena, Marco Vechionacci and Kevin Reese all added RBIs in the eighth inning.
